Our Story
St. Joseph’s School, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru was established in 1978 as part of the educational mission of the Mysore Diocesan Educational Society (MDES). The school was founded under the vision of the Late Bishop Dr. Mathias Fernandes and Rev. Fr. Dennis Noronha, with a commitment to provide quality, values-based education to children in Jayalakshmipuram and surrounding areas of Mysuru.
From its beginnings, the institution has stood for holistic development — academic excellence, character formation, and service to society. Today, St. Joseph’s School is a co-educational CBSE-affiliated institution (Affiliation ID: 830767), offering education from Nursery to Class X, and continues to be guided by the MDES motto: “To Know, To Love, To Serve.
